Microsoft UK apparently commissioned Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant to do a (spoof) training video with Gervais playing David Brent.

 The first part runs for 20 minutes and the second for 17 minutes.

 They've been uploaded to Google Video and the good thing about this service is that you can download them. It's like watching the lost episode of The Office.

"According to New Scientist, Philips has filed a patent for technology to force viewers to watch the ads in a program. Basically they plan to add extra flags to the Multimedia Home Platform that would stop controls from working until the ads are finished." From the article: "Philips' patent acknowledges that this may be 'greatly resented by viewers' who could initially think their equipment has gone wrong. So it suggests the new system could throw up a warning on screen when it is enforcing advert viewing. The patent also suggests that the system could offer viewers the chance to pay a fee interactively to go back to skipping adverts."

So were out in nyc for Chris’ bachelor party… the usual activities: drinking and a strip club. But there’s an interesting twist this time. Privilege has all of the markings of an upscale gentlemen’s club, but once inside you realize that its core assets are par at best. Of course, Chris is covered in ass within two minutes of sitting down, however the ensuing madness doesn’t start for a few moments when the cruise director comes by. Picture LaFawnduh Lucas (from Napoleon Dynamite) rating all of the dancers for us. LaFawnduh tackles Chris and after about six dances calls over one her favorites to join her. The recruit is easily the best looking in the club and probably should be working elsewhere. There is now approximately 45 minutes until close and the new recruit looks over at one of our buddies and then asks Chris… “Is your cute friend Jewish?” Chris isn’t even looking, but replies “yes,” since probably half of the ten guys there are Jewish. She then proceeds to sit down next to this guy and chat until the club closes. So we all figure it’s in the bag. After we leave we all ask him what happened? He tells us that she wanted to know why he doesn’t accept Jesus Christ as his savior? I figure she forfeited between $200 and $300 to try and convert him.
